Whistleblower Targets Tax Shelter Promoting Do-Good Technology

Karin Gross was recently quoted in a Bloomberg Tax article.

In the article, Gross commented that if a donor claims a deduction for the contribution of noncash property to a charity, but the charity fails to report the contribution on the Schedule M of the charity’s Form 990, that omission may raise questions about what was transferred to the charity and the purported value of that property. Gross was responding to reporter Michael J. Bologna’s request for his article on charitable contributions of intangibles.
