Steve Webster

Steve has over 30 years of government tax law experience with the Department of Justice Tax Division and IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Greensboro, North Carolina.  He has handled a wide range of matters in United States Federal district court, United States Bankruptcy Court and the United States Tax Court. From 2008 to 2015, he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) in bankruptcy matters. This experience helps him to provide his clients with a strategic edge. 

While at the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice, Steve handled federal tax litigation including jury and bench trials, motions practice, discovery, depositions, and brief writing. He also worked on complex matters involving refund suits, fraudulent conveyances, lien priority disputes, wrongful levies, alter egos and nominees, summons enforcement, and collection issues.

Steve is experienced with reorganizations, research credits, valuation disputes, TEFRA proceedings, collection due process cases, innocent spouse claims, lien and levy matters, offers in compromise, payroll tax injunctions, and Federal tax lien priority disputes under 6323. He can handle complex cases on tax collection and backruptcy.
